Lead Hvac Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation And air conditioning equipment across various property types. The technician will utilize their expertise in construction, equipment repair, and field service to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate on-site visits and service calls.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and Furnaces.
• Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
• Perform plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and property maintenance.
• Conduct equipment repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
• Assist with system upgrades and modifications following safety standards and industry best practices.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into major repairs.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, repairs, and system performance logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role with construction or appliance repair background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC design, refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and property maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R certifications is a plus.
• Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding experience is advantageous.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience operating various maintenance equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required for field service operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.01 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
