Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dependable Lead HVAC Technician to support our commercial and multifamily properties, including apartment communities, while also serving residential customers.

This role is for a hands-on leader who can independently perform service, maintenance, and installation work while managing multiple projects, guiding technicians, and serving as the go-to expert in the field. The ideal candidate is trusted to operate with minimal supervision and can confidently lead both people and projects.

Position Summary

This is a working lead position. You will perform HVAC service and installation work while managing multiple jobs, assigning work to technicians, and serving as the main point of contact in the field.

This role requires someone who is not only technically strong, but also exceptional with customer interactions, ensuring a positive experience for both apartment management teams and individual homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, etc.)
• Manage multiple job sites and projects simultaneously
• Assign daily work orders and tasks to technicians
• Act as the primary field contact for technicians, providing troubleshooting support
• Oversee and inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance
• Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices

Customer Service Responsibilities

• Provide professional, respectful, and clear communication with:
• Property managers and maintenance teams at apartment communities
• Individual homeowners and residents
• Handle concerns or complaints calmly and professionally
• Represent the company with a customer-first mindset at all times
• Build trust and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• Proven experience leading or training other technicians
• Strong ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
• Experience working with multifamily/apartment HVAC systems
• Demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
