Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and foster curiosity in infants and toddlers
  • Provide attentive care that ensures safety, comfort, and emotional security for each child
  • Facilitate activities that support motor skills, language acquisition, social interaction, and sensory exploration
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, routines, and daily activities to support individualized learning plans
  • Collaborate with families to communicate developmental milestones, concerns, and daily updates
  • Manage classroom behavior with positive guidance strategies to encourage cooperation and independence
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing training encouraged
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills to create an organized, nurturing environment
  • Ability to engage children through playful teaching methods while maintaining safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
  • Valid credentials in early childhood education or related fields are desirable but not mandatory; ongoing professional development is supported
