Lead Infant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants
  • Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children
  • Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and sensory play to support infant well-being
  • Observe and assess each child's developmental progress; document milestones and communicate findings with families and team members
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of care and education
  • Implement behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation among infants
  • Collaborate with families to create individualized care plans that reflect each child's unique needs and preferences
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health & safety standards, and childcare policies at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or preschool setting; classroom management skills are essential
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education practices
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, and Montessori methods is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, staff, and community partners
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a supportive learning environment
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education is advantageous
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid required; additional credentials in early childhood education or Montessori training are a plus
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to promoting their welfare through quality childcare practices
