Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to educating and engaging children through play-based learning, while also implementing effective behavior management strategies.
Start date: Flexible between May - July.
Hours: 8-4pm or 8:30-4:30pm.Year Round Position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Engage children in various activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or preschool settings is preferred.
- Strong background in behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- A nurturing demeanor with a passion for educating young minds.
- EEC Certified Infant/Toddler is a must have.
