Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to educating and engaging children through play-based learning, while also implementing effective behavior management strategies.

Start date: Flexible between May - July.

Hours: 8-4pm or 8:30-4:30pm.Year Round Position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
• Engage children in various activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and creativity.
• Monitor and assess children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.

Experience

• Previous experience in childcare or preschool settings is preferred.
• Strong background in behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
• Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
• A nurturing demeanor with a passion for educating young minds.
• EEC Certified Infant/Toddler is a must have.
