Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher

Don't you just love the curiosity and exuberance of toddlers? We are looking for a joyful, nurturing, and creative teacher to guide the learning and development of our toddlers!

Ideal candidates will have toddler teaching experience and a good understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers. Great organization skills and a good classroom management style are a must when working with our little ones. We're looking for a Lead Teacher who is willing to guide the classroom team, create weekly lesson plans, complete observations, and ensure a learning environment through routines and experiences with the toddlers.

We have a beautiful center with well-furnished classrooms where we all work together to create an enjoyable environment for both the children and staff. We value growth and development and offer ongoing professional development, team building activities, and on-site CDA training for those just starting out in this field.

• Must be kind and nurturing
• Must have good classroom management skills
• Must value teamwork and collaboration
• Must be physically able to sit on the floor, get up and down quickly, stand for long periods of time, and lift children. We expect our teachers to be constantly moving, checking on children, playing with them, and paying attention to what's going on around you all the time.
• Must have patience! We never use physical punishment or verbal reprimands with our children, so we require people who can use our positive guidance methods to manage children's behaviors without getting frustrated.
• Must be reliable. The children need us every day!

Additional Considerations:

• Associate Degree (or higher) with 9 ECE hours OR current Infant/Toddler CDA is REQUIRED. Degrees in Early Childhood Education or related field are highly preferred.
• 3 years experience in a child care center with toddlers/ twos required.
• Experience with Teaching Strategies and Creative Curriculum is a bonus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
