Lead Laboratory Technician/Lead laboratory Analyst

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Laboratory Technician/Lead Laboratory Analyst to join our dynamic research and development team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee laboratory operations, ensure compliance with industry standards, and lead a team of technicians to execute complex scientific experiments. Your expertise will drive quality control processes, support regulatory adherence, and contribute to innovative research initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise laboratory personnel, providing guidance on technical procedures and best practices to ensure high-quality results.
  • Oversee daily laboratory activities, including sample preparation, analysis, and result computation.
  • Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), ELAP (Environmental Laboratory Approval Program), NYSDOH (New York Stat Department of Healt) and other relevant standards.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control by validating methods, calibrating equipment, and monitoring assay performance to guarantee accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Manage laboratory information management systems (LIMS), ensuring accurate record keeping and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
  • Train team members on laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and scientific excellence.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of EPA 3050B method, and industry-standard laboratory procedures.
  • Proven experience in the analysis of lead dust wipes samples with a focus on quality control and research & development.
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other laboratory software tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data collection, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining compliance with safety standards and scientific protocols.
