Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and presentation of dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of line cooks, providing guidance on food handling, cooking techniques, and plating.
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness, proper storage, and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Train new team members on kitchen procedures, knife skills, food preparation techniques, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain a lively pace during service hours while ensuring attention to detail and quality control at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service environments with a strong background in kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal requirements.
- Extensive culinary experience including fine dining or catering environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills, meal preparation, and food handling techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
