Position: Lead Maintenance
Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations at Saxony at Chase Oaks, a 470-unit apartment community in Plano.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and ensures the community is maintained to the highest standards while supporting a strong team environment.
Compensation: $28–$32 per hour based on experience, plus monthly performance bonuses
Schedule: Monday – Friday (on-call rotation required)
What You Will Do:- Lead and oversee all maintenance operations for the community
- Diagnose and complete service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
- Manage and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion
- Oversee apartment turns, including scheduling, inspections, and quality control
- Supervise and support maintenance team members
- Maintain pool, grounds, and common areas to company standards
- Coordinate vendors and contractors for larger or specialized projects
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed consistently
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with residents
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
What You Will Bring:- Valid driver’s license
- HVAC certification required
- CPO certification required
- 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
- Ability to lead, train, and hold team members accountable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
