Wellesley Management is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician for our portfolio of mixed-use properties across Greater Boston.

Primary sites are in Mattapan, Chelsea, Woburn, and Malden. Most weeks, you’ll be at one or two sites, not constantly traveling between all four. Occasional Worcester runs may come up, but they are not weekly.

We provide a company truck and gas card, so there are no out-of-pocket travel costs.

We’re looking for a strong generalist who can handle day-to-day property maintenance independently and knows when to bring in a licensed specialist. Trade licenses are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Handle repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general building systems
• Perform basic HVAC service, including filters, belts, condensate, thermostats, and diagnostics
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections
• Respond to tenant work orders professionally and on time
• Coordinate with outside vendors and licensed specialists when needed
• Assist with unit turnovers, seasonal maintenance, and improvement projects
• Keep work order logs and maintenance records updated
• Travel between sites using the company truck

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience
• Experience in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial property maintenance preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and generally clean driving record
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied conditions
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable working with tenants and business occupants
• Able to manage your own day across multiple sites

Preferred but not required:

• EPA 608 certification
• MA trade license in plumbing or electrical
