About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. This hybrid role is ideal for a driven, solutions-oriented professional with 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within commercial construction environments such as K–12 schools, government buildings, healthcare facilities, and other institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee mechanical systems for commercial building projects (HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems).
• Prepare engineering calculations, construction documents, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, and construction professionals.
• Conduct site visits, review construction progress, and resolve field issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and project staff.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in commercial construction.
• LEED accreditation is desirable
• Strong understanding of local and national building codes and ASHRAE standards.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering calculation tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
