Position Summary
Tampa Emergency Restoration Pros is seeking an experienced Mold Remediation / Restoration Technician to perform residential and commercial mold remediation and restoration projects. This role is responsible for containment setup, negative air management, safe removal of mold-impacted materials, HEPA cleaning, moisture monitoring, and detailed jobsite documentation.
The right person will understand how to work safely, protect the customer’s property, communicate professionally on job sites, and complete work according to company procedures and industry best practices.
This is a field-based role in the emergency restoration industry, which means some projects require long days, schedule flexibility, and occasional evening or weekend work depending on job demands.
Minimum Requirements to Be Considered
· At least 2 years of hands-on experience in mold remediation, water mitigation, restoration, demolition, or closely related field work
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Ability to work in physically demanding environments and wear PPE and respirators as required
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform mold remediation work according to company procedures and industry best practices
· Set up containments, critical barriers, negative air machines, and air scrubbers
· Remove affected materials including drywall, baseboards, insulation, flooring, and other non-salvageable building materials
· Perform HEPA vacuuming, detail cleaning, wipe-downs, and debris removal
· Clean and treat affected surfaces using approved antimicrobial solutions
· Properly bag, seal, and dispose of contaminated materials and debris
· Assist with selective demolition in occupied residential and commercial environments
· Use moisture meters and related equipment to monitor conditions and support drying and moisture control
· Assist with water damage mitigation tasks when needed, including extraction, equipment setup, monitoring, and equipment removal
· Assist with fire and smoke cleanup when required, including cleaning, odor mitigation tasks, and removal of unsalvageable materials
· Document work performed through photos, notes, moisture readings, and daily job updates
· Protect unaffected areas of the home or building and maintain a clean, controlled work environment
· Follow all PPE, respirator, and jobsite safety requirements
· Load, unload, clean, and maintain vehicles, tools, and restoration equipment
· Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and team members
· Identify issues in the field and escalate concerns quickly to leadership
· Work after hours, weekends, or emergency response schedules as required
· Perform other related duties as needed to support restoration projects

· Other remediation equipment as required for specific job conditions
Required Experience
· Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mold remediation, water mitigation, restoration, demolition, construction, or related field work
· Experience building containments and operating negative air machines, HEPA vacuums, and air scrubbers
· Experience performing selective demolition in residential or commercial environments
· Experience documenting jobs using photos, notes, and moisture readings
· Strong understanding of jobsite safety, containment procedures, and cleanliness standards
· Ability to pass background and driving checks if required
Preferred Qualifications
· Florida mold remediation license or strong familiarity with Florida mold remediation requirements
· IICRC certifications such as AMRT, WRT, FSRT, or related restoration certifications
· Experience working on insurance-related restoration projects
· Experience leading a helper or small crew
· Familiarity with moisture mapping, drying logs, or restoration documentation systems
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly
· Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, tight areas, and hot or dusty environments
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the day
· Ability to wear PPE and respirators for extended periods when required

Compensation
· Hourly pay range: $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
