Duties
- Develop and implement innovative Montessori-based curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of children in your classroom.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, exploration, and independence among students.
- Observe and assess each child's progress regularly, documenting milestones and adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that emphasizes behavior management, social skills, and emotional well-being.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's growth and achievements.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards while encouraging child welfare and daycare best practices.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Montessori pedagogy and curriculum development principles.
- Proven experience working with children across early childhood education settings, including preschool and toddler care.
- Strong background in special education techniques and early intervention strategies.
- Expertise in literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate standardized testing preparation when appropriate.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Experience with childcare regulations, private school standards, and daycare operations.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones and early childhood education best practices.
- Commitment to child welfare through attentive supervision, safety protocols, and inclusive teaching practices.
