Lead Montessori Teacher (Preschool)

**Looking to hire for June**

Pay Range: $42-55k/year (equiv: $22-28/hr)

The Lead Montessori Teacher is responsible for implementing the Montessori method to support the academic, social emotional growth and development of all children in their care. You will develop a partnership with parents and other caregivers to engage them in the growth and development of their child. You will collaborate and work alongside other Lead Montessori Teachers and Assistant Teachers to provide high quality care, this may include being mentored by your colleagues or mentoring other teachers. You will also be a member of the evaluation team and will give regular feedback to the Assistant Teachers you work with . You will play a role in the development of programs, nature-based experiences, and development of outside spaces. You will be responsible for maintaining a high quality prepared environment including inventory and care for the materials.

Qualifications:

• Holds a Montessori certification and/or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
• Ability to pass background checks and complete pre-employment training by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood Education Department.
• Completion of all Colorado Shines pre-employment certificates
• Has 1+ years of teaching experience.
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Has strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Has excellent organizational skills.
• Is solutions oriented.
• Is flexible and excited about creating something new and innovative.
• Can manage multiple tasks at one time.
• Is self-reflective and seeks ways to grow.
• Plans and can see several steps ahead.
• Collaborates well with large and small groups.
• Preferred: Holds a large center director qualification (Level III).
