Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our Pre Kindergarteners. The Pre-K Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play, exploration, and Kindergarten Readiness
Responsibilities
- NC Pre‑K Lead Teacher credentials (B‑K License or BA/BS in ECE or related field with NC Pre‑K eligibility)
- At least 2 years of experience working with preschool‑age children
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
- Provide individualized attention to each child to support their unique learning needs and developmental milestones.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Facilitate group activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and communication among peers.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's development and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Experience
- A bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
- Experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is essential.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Skills in toddler care, caregiving, and classroom management are highly valued.
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
