Lead Orthodontic Assistant (Multi-Location)About the Role

We're hiring a Lead Orthodontic Assistant to join our rapidly growing practice serving Carrollwood, Apollo Beach, and soon Brandon. You'll be the clinical expert across our locations—training staff, ensuring consistent patient care, and helping us scale our operations as we expand.

This isn't an entry-level position. We need someone who can work independently, mentor others, and take ownership of clinical excellence across multiple sites. If you're looking for a practice where your leadership matters and there's room to grow as we do, this could be the right fit.

What You'll Do

Clinical Leadership:

• Expert chairside assistance: brackets, wires, appliances, debonds, emergencies
• Digital workflows: scans, clinical photos, X-rays
• Patient education: appliance care, hygiene, compliance coaching
• Sterilization and infection control (OSHA/CDC standards)
• Treatment room management and supply inventory

Team Leadership & Operations:

• Train and mentor clinical staff on protocols and best practices
• Float between locations to ensure consistent patient experience
• Identify and solve workflow inefficiencies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to practice improvements
• Support new patient consultations and treatment coordination

What We're Looking For

Required:

• ✅ Minimum 1 year orthodontic chairside experience (non-negotiable)
• ✅ Reliable transportation for multi-location coverage (Carrollwood ↔ Apollo Beach)
• ✅ Florida Registered Dental Assistant or eligible for registration
• ✅ Leadership mindset—you want to train others and improve systems, not just complete tasks
• ✅ Strong communication with patients and team members

Preferred:

• ⭐ Bilingual (English/Spanish) — significant advantage for our patient base
• ⭐ Previous training, mentorship, or supervisory experience
• ⭐ Comfortable in fast-paced, growing practices

What We Offer

Compensation:

• $20-30/hour based on experience
• Performance bonuses

Schedule:

• Full-time: 36-40 hours/week
• Primarily Monday-Friday
• Multi-location flexibility required

We're a fast-growing orthodontic practice in Tampa Bay. Since launching in May 2025, we've scaled to 20+ treatment starts per month by focusing on clinical excellence and efficient systems. We're looking for team members who want to build something meaningful, not just fill a position.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
