Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and renovation sites. As a key leader on our team, you will coordinate painting crews, ensure safety standards are met, and deliver exceptional results that enhance the aesthetic and structural integrity of our clients’ properties. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and construction-related skills will drive the success of each project while maintaining efficiency and craftsmanship excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise painting effort on multiple projects at a time, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards
- Prepare surfaces meticulously through sanding, plastering, caulking, and masonry work to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Read detailed scopes of work to accurately interpret project requirements and execute tasks
- Apply a variety of painting techniques including airless spray painting, brushwork, roller application
- Manage and delegate requirements for surface preparation
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to plan schedules, estimate materials needed using construction estimating skills, and troubleshoot on-site challenges
- Maintain safety protocols on site
- Interact with customers and maintain customer client relationship
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential painting projects with a strong background in construction site work
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical schematics related to construction painting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools including airless sprayers, and various painting tools
- Knowledge of color theory to advise clients on color schemes and finishes that meet their aesthetic goals
- Familiarity with renovation processes including fixture installation, remodeling tasks, restoration work, and handyman experience
- Ability to perform surface preparation tasks like plastering, caulking, masonry work, framing carpentry, trim carpentry
- Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; excellent communication skills; valid construction site experience preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
