Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Lead to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques, particularly within LTC, acute care, and hospital settings. Experience in IV infusion, critical care, and patient service is highly valued to support comprehensive patient care initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists
• Assist with medication intake, inventory management, and documentation
• Support patient service activities including answering questions and providing medication information
• Perform IV infusion preparation following aseptic techniques and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Maintain meticulous records of medication dispensing and patient interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care plans
• Assist in medication administration processes as needed within clinical settings
• Support hospital or LTC pharmacy operations by managing medication supplies and ensuring proper storage

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing
• Prior experience in pharmacy settings such as LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care environments
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Experience with IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique
• Critical care experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to handle complex medication regimens
• Strong patient service skills with a focus on patient care and communication
• Familiarity with pharmacy technician responsibilities including intake processes and medication management
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environments requiring attention to detail and accuracy
• Prior pharmacy technician experience in hospital or acute care settings is preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
