Job Title: Lead Piping Designer

Location: Houston / Project Office (with periodic site visits to Nigeria as needed)

Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Lead Piping Designer to manage the piping layout and design efforts for a complex deepwater offshore development. The role involves 3D modeling, layout optimization, and coordination with other design disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead piping design activities in SmartPlant 3D and AutoCAD across multiple design areas.
• Develop general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and support detail drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, space management, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinate design interfaces with structural, process, and mechanical teams.
• Conduct model reviews and incorporate feedback from operations and fabrication stakeholders.
• Generate bill of materials and manage design deliverable schedules.
• Support fabrication and construction teams with updated layout and spool drawings.
• Provide guidance to junior designers and ensure quality control of deliverables.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 10+ years of piping design in Auto CAD.
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
• Attention to detail.

Experience Preferred:

• Associate's degree in CAD.
• CADWorx experience.
• Plant 3D experience.

Note: This role may require periodic travel to fabrication yards and offshore sites depending on project execution needs.
