Position Overview

Financial Gravity is seeking an experienced Lead Planning Consultant to serve as a key resource for Advisors and clients. This role combines advanced financial planning expertise with wealth operations support and Advisor consulting. This is not a financial analyst role, but a role centered around financial planning, tax-saving strategies, retirement planning, insurance integration, and working with advisors.

The ideal candidate will hold a CFP® designation or Series 65 license and possess strong experience in financial planning, client relationship management, and operational workflows. This individual will help drive planning initiatives, support Advisors with complex cases, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review comprehensive financial plans, retirement analyses, and wealth strategies
  • Collaborate with Advisors to identify planning opportunities and deliver client recommendations
  • Analyze client financial information and provide actionable planning insights
  • Support Advisors with investment, retirement, tax-efficient, estate, and risk management planning discussions
  • Assist with client onboarding, account servicing, and wealth management operational processes
  • Manage planning workflows and ensure timely delivery of client recommendations and reports
  • Serve as a resource for planning software, operational procedures, and best practices
  • Coordinate with internal departments including operations, insurance, tax, and compliance teams
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies that support firm growth
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as needed
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and planning strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Series 65, Series 66, or equivalent securities licensing
  • Experience with RightCapital, eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or similar planning software
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or Advisor support
  • Experience working directly with Advisors and high-net-worth clients
  • Strong understanding of retirement planning, investment planning, tax-efficient strategies, and wealth management concepts
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team environment
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, financial planning software, and Google Workspace

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFP® certification
  • Experience supporting Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs)
  • Knowledge of account opening, servicing, and wealth management operations
  • Insurance licensing
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
