Summary
The Lead Plumber leads, trains, oversees, and participates in the work of plumbing staff responsible for performing the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures; provides technical and specialized assistance to Management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for multiple aspects of controls, including but not limited to costs, planning, scheduling, supervision and personnel management.
- Manage projects from estimation to completion and work directly with management.
- Review drawings, ensure accurate document preparation
- Ensures construction site rules and procedures are implemented and followed
- Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure projects are completed in accordance with safety goals
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Accurate forecasting of costs for job completion
- Provide leadership and development to project team
- Ability to interact professionally and communicate with employees with expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards.
- Understand project specifications, and the scope of work and see that they are fully performed in the field.
- Must be capable of managing a crew to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects on time and on budget while holding to a high-quality standard.
Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 5 years’ work experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Ability to safely operate machinery.
- Valid US driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must pass a security background check.

- Ability to walk on uneven deck surfaces crossing from vessel to vessel.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

- Regularly required to talk, hear, or smell as well as use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
