Lead Porter
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseas the Environmental Services Team, including hiring, training, scheduling, time card approval, performance evaluations, and formal discipline.
- Ensures guest and employee restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and are stocked with personal products.
- Ensures trash is removed on a continuous basis throughout the casino and hotel, including the floor between slot machines and from trash receptacles.
- Operates and maintains various cleaning equipment. Provides employees with cleaning equipment and premixed chemicals as required.
- Ensures the outside appearance of the casino and hotel is clean and maintained, including snow and ice removal.
- Ensures all parking lots are monitored for trash removal, sweeping up cigarette trash, and emptying outdoor smoking receptacles.
- Performs all duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and gaming license if in possession of one.
- Within the realm of the job, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Performs other duties, including special projects as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated experience performing positively and achieving objective based results. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral communication skills, including contacts with employees and guests. Demonstrated experience leading teams and inspiring others. A demonstrated knowledge of janitorial or housekeeping duties.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1 or 2 years of performing janitorial duties. Preferred knowledge and experience with floor care machines, such as buffers and extractors. Experience managing a small team is preferred.
Colorado Gaming License required.
Shift: 9p - 5:30a Thursday - Monday.
$22.00 hourly
