Lead Pre-K Teacher

Calvary Central Day Care is a nonprofit childcare and educational ministry of Calvary Chapel Central. The purpose of our program is to minister to the surrounding community by providing a safe, loving, and educational environment in a Christ-centered setting for children ages six weeks to five years old.

We are currently hiring a Lead Pre-K Teacher for our 3 to 5 year-old's. This is a full time position and will require previous experience. Hours of operation M-F 7:30-4:00.

Starting Pay:$17.50 or higher based off of experience.

We are small, Christian daycare. We have low student ratios which benefit the students and the teachers. Our heart is to have parents feel comfortable leaving their children with us, knowing they are loved, learning, and safe.

Job Description/Requirements

We are looking for someone with a passion for helping our children grow in their understanding of all God has created them to be!

Able to educate the whole child by creating and implementing weekly lesson plans that include kindergarten readiness skills while nurturing their social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development.

Able to manage a class of 8-13 children, good communication skills with staff, director, and parents.

Able to maintain a clean and organized classroom.

Must have past long- term experience as a Pre-K Teacher and Lesson planning.

Preferred hours would be M-F 7:15-4:15 with a one hour break each day.

Higher pay available if willing and requirments met to Close or Open Daycare facilities as needed.

Qualifications:

1. At least 21 years old
12 months of experience in childcare/preschool and
3 credit hours or more in early childhood or at least 30 actual hours of instruction in early childhood workshops

*"Experience in child care" can include: Licensed Daycare or Child care group home, public, charter, or private school working with children Pre-K-12 grade.

Or a professional field working with children Pre-K-12 grade in Nursing, Social work, Psychology, Child Development or a closely related field

"Closely related field"can include: Any educational instruction or occupational experience pertaining to the growth, development, physical or mental care, or education of children
