Lead Pre-K Teacher

The Good Shepherd School, located in Ruxton, Maryland, is seeking a talented and experienced Pre-K teacher to join our team.

Good Shepherd School is an Episcopal school offering morning classes for two-year-olds through four-year-olds, a full-day Kindergarten, an Adult-Toddler program, and optional afternoon programs. We strive to incorporate our school’s core values of care, cooperation, responsibility, independence and respect into our daily school environment and curriculum. Good Shepherd has approximately 165 students with a talented team of 35 educators. We consider our dedicated teaching staff as our most valuable resource in providing an exceptional early education experience for our students and their families.

We are currently accepting resumes for a lead Pre-K teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Prospective candidates should have a desire to contribute to a team-driven community of passionate educators dedicated to instilling a love of learning in young learners.

Lead teacher positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s degree with a 90-hour teaching certification in Early Childhood as well as prior experience working in a preschool setting..

Approximate Class Size- Ten students with a Lead Teacher and an Assistant.

Part-time Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30-12:15, 8/31/26-6/4/27
