Lead Pre-K Teacher 2026-27 School Year

About the Role

First United Methodist Church - Preschool is looking for a lead teacher for our Pre-K Universal Preschool program for our 2026-27 school year, starting August 2026. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with children and be able to work with children that are coming to school for the first time. Being caring and compassionate is a must. This position can be Monday - Thursday or Monday - Friday based on need.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Teacher lessons using provided curriculum and Play-based lessons
• Work with students to create appropriate learning experiences that foster student growth
• Prepare classroom materials (e.g., posters, crafts, games, videos, etc.)to help promote student engagement and learning
• Ensure classroom safety by maintaining a safe environment and following safety procedures
• Implement and assess Colorado Preschool Standards
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Teachers - Level II Colorado Shines
• Experience working with preschool age children
• Background check and Fingerprinting will be done as part of the hiring process

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
