Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Pre-school Teacher to oversee and implement early childhood education programs in a nurturing and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, expertise in curriculum development, and a passion for fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role involves leading a team of educators, designing age-appropriate lesson plans, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that supports early childhood education standards.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with Creative Curriculum e
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff and assistants, providing guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and child welfare practices.
- Assess children's developmental progress through observations and standardized testing; tailor activities to meet individual needs including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Coordinate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns related to child welfare or developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and childcare policies.
- Organize professional development sessions for staff to stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral incidents; prepare reports as needed for administrative review.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices including preschool experience, toddler care, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods.
- Experience with curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate physical education, tutoring, standardized testing preparation, and child welfare considerations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and administration.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with daycare operations, private school environments, or preschool settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment conducive to learning and growth.
