Owl Hill Learning Center is seeking a qualified, reliable, and dedicated Full-Time Lead Pre-K Counts Teacher. Our program consists of Pre-K Counts and Preschool classrooms.

We are located in Lancaster City, close to F&M College. Our facility is inside Liberty Place Building that rivals all of the Early Childhood Education Centers in Lancaster County. We have earned the highest possible STARS rating, and maintain our STAR 4 designation year after year!

We are seeking a FT Lead Pre-K Counts Teacher to take on one of our Pre-K Counts classrooms. This is a 10 month position with possibility for summer employment. A Lead Pre-K Counts Teacher holds a BA in Early Childhood Education with a PA Level 1 Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

A star applicant would be someone with 4+ years of experience teaching in a Preschool/Pre-K Classroom in an urban setting alongside culturally diverse children and families. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is dedicated, patient, flexible, open to communication and a partnership with families, and extremely knowledgeable of early childhood development and teaching with a "whole-child approach". A Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher plans and implements lessons, establishes classroom routines and structure, and guides children through their learning day. They actively observe and assess children both academically and socially/emotionally throughout the school year, and conduct several parent/teacher conferences to discuss progress and to connect with families and caregivers one-on-one.

Lead Pre-K Counts Teachers often work alongside outside agencies to support children in various aspects of individual learning and development. Most importantly, a Lead Pre-K Counts Teacher loves what they do, accepts challenges along the way, works through conflict efficiently and respectfully, believes in each child and their individual ability and capability, and celebrates all of the small milestones and steps along the way!

Other responsibilities may arise or be expected as regulations and/or licensing requirements change.

We are licensed by DHS, PDE, and have been awarded a STAR 4 rating from Keystone STARS. Our teachers participate in professional development during the school year, complete required clearances and stay up to date on teacher requirements outlined by Owl Hill Learning Center, DHS, Keystone STARS, and PDE.
