Lead Preschool / Floater Teacher and Toddler Teacher

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

The Boulevard School is seeking a creative, collaborative preschool teacher who enjoys working as part of a supportive team. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain developmentally appropriate classroom environments and curriculum that offer variety and meaningful choices for children
• Communicate regularly with families through weekly lesson plans, daily notes, photos, and warm face-to-face interactions
• Participate in staff development opportunities and planning meetings
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all children
• Observe and respond to children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic needs
• Assist children with personal care as needed
• Follow all state and local licensing regulations for childcare programs
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators
• Uphold the school’s core principles and compass statement

Required Qualifications

• 12 post-secondary units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including:
• Child Growth and Development
• Child, Family, and Community
• Program/Curriculum
• Proof of education must be provided prior to employment
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check
• Proof of current physical examination and vaccination record
• Completion of Mandated Reporter Training and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (online training accepted)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach above shoulder height as needed in a classroom environment

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program
• Additional toddler coursework or experience and openness to working in the toddler program
• AA/AS degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
