Lead Preschool Teacher (Full Time)

Location: 1314 Turtle Creek Dr., Missouri City, TX 77489
Schedule: 8-hour shifts (typically 7:30–5, 8:30–5:30, 9–6, or 9:30–6:30). Rotating close to 6:30 PM. Weekends & holidays off (unless it's a special event).
Earliest Start: May 1, 2026

ABOUT THE CARTWRIGHT SCHOOL

We’re a state-licensed early learning center that believes in structured fun, high standards, and classrooms that actually run on a plan—not vibes. That means clean, organized spaces, thoughtful lessons, and grown-ups who model optimism and follow through. (If you love a tidy classroom and a solid routine, you'll fit right in.)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom for preschoolers.
  • Plan and run age-appropriate lessons that build physical, social-emotional, language, and cognitive skills—with outdoor play, sensory time, group & individual work, and quiet time built into your daily schedule.
  • Keep your room clean, orderly, and ready for learning; never leave children unsupervised (including naps).

Communicate clearly and professionally with administrators, coworkers, and families.

MUST-HAVES (non-negotiable)

  • 18+ with a valid ID/DL and a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Can reliably work a rotating schedule that may end at 6:30 PM.
  • Can safely lift/carry 40–50 lbs and stay on your feet.
  • You respond to messages—if we don’t hear back, we assume no interest.
  • Positive, solutions-first attitude (we serve kids; pessimism serves no one).

Nice-to-Haves: Childcare experience, CPR/First Aid, knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards, and an authentic love for working with children.

LICENSING & BACKGROUND

We are a State-Licensed Facility. All hires must pass the Texas HHSC/DFPS CBCU fingerprint-based background check and remain eligible. CPR/First Aid & BBP required/maintained.
