Lead Preschool Teacher , Lead Toddler Teacher and Floater

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher with a BA degree, along with a teachers permit in Early Childhood Education to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to early childhood education principles and the ability to engage children through creative lesson planning and interactive activities. Observes and provides peer assistance for colleagues. Demonstrates communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Demonstrates instructional, organizational and developmental skills as a professional teacher in a child care environment. Demonstrates a professional presentation and knowledge of subject matter. Demonstrates management of student conduct. Demonstrates and evaluates generic teaching competencies (use of questions, begins class room activity promptly, emphasizes important points, provides practice). Toddler Teacher and Floater are required to have a Teachers Permit and child development units . Positive interpersonal relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and school/community. Demonstrates a sense of responsibility. Supports School and District regulations and policies. Adheres to the Principles of Professional Practices and Code of Ethics. Demonstrates student-centered interaction. Demonstrates the ability to ensure parent and students’ family involvement to enhance student achievement. Demonstrates continuous progress of students and professional development which relates to enhanced student performance. Demonstrates implementation of School Improvement Plans goals

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning in various subjects, including Math and literacy.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Assess children's progress through standardized testing and informal evaluations to tailor educational approaches to individual needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support the overall development of each child.
  • Utilize Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Supervise daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.

Skills

  • Strong lesson planning abilities that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly with young children.
  • A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an engaging curriculum that incorporates Math and other foundational subjects.
  • Experience in childcare settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures for early learners.

Pay: $18.50 - $30.00 per hour
