<Job Summary>
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher. In this role, partnered with an AM and PM Assistant, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Your enthusiasm and expertise will create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and joy in discovery.

<Responsibilities>

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management
• Lead classroom activities focused on art, literacy, math, and physical activities
• Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior to ensure smooth daily operations
• Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress through observations. Complete Progress Reports twice a year
• Partner with assistant teachers and support staff to create and maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere

<Qualifications>

• MUST HAVE Experience working with children in an all-day preschool/childcare setting. No exceptions.
• Curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and co-workers
• Meet or be willing to obtain all DCYF required trainings and certifications, including: TB test, proof of MMR or exemption, Food Handlers Card, CPR & First Aid, BBP Cert, High School Diploma, Child Care Basic Training, and a Background Check.
