Title: Lead, Program Manager

Location: San Leandro, CA (This role is 100% Onsite)

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.

Job Description:

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

  • Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area.
  • Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and may require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
  • Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties.
  • Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
  • Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in managing production line, low volume/high mix manufacturing a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • ITAR compliance experience.
  • PMP or other certification or similar training program.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $232,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
