Lead Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join out multispecialty team in Marina Del Rey. Minimum 5 year experience as RDA required.

Familiar with CEREC same day crowns, 3D printing, scanning and using imaging technology like CBCT and digital X rays. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Duties

  • Supervise and mentor dental assistants, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices in four-handed dentistry and aseptic techniques
  • Assist with chairside procedures across various specialties including periodontics, prosthodontics, general dentistry, oral surgery and endodontics. Experienced with same dame crowns (CEREC) and 3 D printing (Sprintray)
  • Manage medical documentation, medical records, and medical coding using Dentrix.
  • Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging including X-ray and CBCT procedures while maintaining strict infection control standards
  • Oversee the use of advanced technology such as 3D scanners and ensure proper operation and maintenance of dental equipment
  • Coordinate with the dental reception team to optimize patient flow, scheduling, and administrative tasks like dental terminology explanations and medical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Dental Assistant license with minimum 5 years experience in general dentistry; additional experience in endodontics, periodontics, Oral surgery and prosthodontics is preferred
  • Proficiency in Dentrix
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
  • Experience with chairside assisting in complex procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, implant placement, oral surgery
  • Ability to operate X-ray machines safely for dental radiography; knowledge of medical imaging standards is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as the bridge between front and back office
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and records management
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality; familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record platforms is advantageous

Pay: $28.50 - $36.00 per hour
