Duties

• Lead the planning and implementation of age-appropriate curricula for preschool and school-age children, incorporating elements of literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Manage classroom environments effectively by utilizing strong classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement.
• Develop individualized lesson plans that align with developmental milestones, early intervention strategies, and standardized testing requirements.
• Foster open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build trust and collaborative relationships.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards by maintaining accurate records of incidents, attendance, and developmental assessments.
• Incorporate special education principles into daily activities to support children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring additional support through early intervention programs.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, conducting routine safety checks, and promoting health practices within the classroom.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children across preschool age groups and school-age settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of child development instruction methods, childhood development theories, and best practices in childcare.
• Familiarity with curriculum development processes that include literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators using excellent communication skills.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential.
• Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and maintaining detailed records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Previous experience teaching in private or preschool settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment is essential.
