Duties

• Implement innovative curriculum plans tailored to school-age children, incorporating literacy education, math, and physical education
• Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development, behavior management, and social skills
• Oversee daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment for all students
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized lesson plans for children requiring special education or early intervention support
• Monitor student progress through assessments and, adjusting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom events
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive reinforcement strategies and child welfare best practices

Skills

• Extensive experience in classroom management and lesson planning for school-age children
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education standards
• Proven ability to work with children of varying abilities, including those in special education
• Expertise in curriculum development across multiple subjects
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies that foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
• Familiarity with child care regulations, preschool experience, and classroom experience in diverse educational environments
