We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead School Age Teacher to inspire and guide children in our school-age program. Duties
- Implement innovative curriculum plans tailored to school-age children, incorporating literacy education, math, and physical education
- Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development, behavior management, and social skills
- Oversee daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment for all students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized lesson plans for children requiring special education or early intervention support
- Monitor student progress through assessments and, adjusting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom events
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive reinforcement strategies and child welfare best practices
Skills
- Extensive experience in classroom management and lesson planning for school-age children
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education standards
- Proven ability to work with children of varying abilities, including those in special education
- Expertise in curriculum development across multiple subjects
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
- Familiarity with child care regulations, preschool experience, and classroom experience in diverse educational environments
