We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead School Age Teacher to join our vibrant educational team! In this role, you will inspire and guide school-age children, fostering a love of learning while supporting their social, emotional, and academic development. <Duties>

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored for school-age children, including literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Supervise children on field trips during the summer.
  • Lead classroom activities that support childhood development, behavior management, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to meet each child's unique needs, including early intervention strategies.
  • Manage classroom operations efficiently, ensuring safety standards, child welfare protocols, and adherence to Tennessee State Licensing regulations.
  • Lead engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on learning, tutoring, and age-appropriate physical activities.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns, fostering a team-oriented environment dedicated to excellence in childcare and education.

<Skills>

  • Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and classroom management techniques.
  • Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings, focusing on school-age programs.
  • Strong curriculum development skills across subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies that encourage positive social interactions.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learners.
  • Skilled in lesson planning, classroom organization, and utilizing standardized testing for assessment purposes.
