We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead School Age Teacher to inspire and guide children during their formative years. This dynamic role involves creating engaging, safe, and nurturing environments for school-aged children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development. As a Lead Teacher, you will serve as a role model, mentor fellow staff members, and collaborate closely with families to ensure each child's unique needs are met. Your energy and passion will help cultivate a positive learning atmosphere where children feel valued, supported, and excited to learn. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play, exploration, and creativity for school-age children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.
- Supervise daily activities, including arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater projects, and educational outings that enhance childhood development.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by conducting regular safety checks, maintaining cleanliness, and practicing first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual growth plan.
- Lead team members by providing guidance on classroom management strategies, special education accommodations, and child development best practices.
- Incorporate elements of Christian counseling or values when appropriate to foster a caring community atmosphere. Skills
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an organized and engaging environment.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
- Experience working with children in daycare, camp settings, tutoring sessions or babysitting roles.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively across diverse groups of children.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly preferred to ensure child safety at all times.
- Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching strategies.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
