Position Summary

The Lead Security Supervisor reports directly to the HSSSEQ Manager. They must be both fit and healthy and able to fulfill their daily duties.

Safety must be the absolute priority for all personnel on site at any time including visitors and contractors.

The Lead Security Supervisor work for 5 days per week. Working on weekends and additional hours as per job requirements.
Major Responsibilities

Lead, train, and supervise a team of security personnel, including scheduling shifts, conducting performance evaluations, and providing guidance and support as needed.

Foster a culture of professionalism, vigilance, and accountability among security staff.
-
Be fully familiar with national security aspects.

Maintains the day-to-day management of the incident management room and the incident management team by:

Making sure the room is adequately stocked and all functions are tested frequently.
-
Makes sure the Incident Management team rota is fulfilled and populated on a weekly basis.
-
Assists with the planning and testing of emergency response drills, and scenarios.
-
Plays an active role in the Incident Management Team

Manage the team of security personnel onshore and offshore and ensure that Security personnel undertake their duties as per contract.
-
Maintains and processes the administrative responsibilities of the role including time sheets, maintaining logbooks, records, recording incident reports, etc.
-
Ensures that the Security Team is kept at full establishment, participating in interviews for new team members as required.

Conducts Security Risk Assessments for all Terminal premises including offshore security audits on a regular basis.

Ensures appropriate security resources are made available in all areas, based on risk assessment.

Participates in terminal management meetings and provides updates about Security Team performance.

Conducts staff development reviews and identifies training needs.
-
Develops training matrix for the security team.
-
Develops appropriate training material for the team to perform their duties.
-
Manages the team’s performance and scheduling to ensure minimum cover always provided.
-
Manage, review and develop the security operations to ensure that it fulfils project requirements. (e.g. install electronic control system as soon as possible, CCTV)

Be responsible for the associated documentation necessary to fulfil the purpose of this security plan.

Ensure that the security resources are adequate to cover all project needs and Terminal security operations reflect the requirements of the project.

Liaise with subcontractors, and terminal management.
-
Ensure that appropriate personnel are made aware of all security issues.
-
Make a report without delay to the HSSEQ Manager when any security irregularities or breaches or incident have taken place.
-
Report without delay any security irregularities, breaches, incidents to the Terminal HSSEQ Manager and take any necessary measures to prevent, mitigate, control the recurrence of such events etc.

Guide the visitors to Terminal HSSEQ Department to introduce them to the visitor induction training or required HSSEQ trainings.

Respond to alarm signals (fire alarms or other danger signals) and participate in the emergency response procedures and emergency response team training and activities.

Enforce the Terminal rules and regulation regarding security.
-
Make routine or special reports, as prescribed, concerning designated matters and unusual circumstances.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Good Arabic and English reading, written and verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

Training, knowledge and experience of industrial site security, particularly security of marine terminals and compliance with ISPS Code.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.

Health & Safety training and experience.
-
Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to security incidents in a calm and decisive manner.
