Lead Server / Server Captain

Job Description:

Are you a natural leader with a passion for hospitality and a knack for organization? Join our team at The Doughroom as a Server Captain/ Head Server! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee daily operations and lead our team to success during each shift. This position also requires working as a server.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support restaurant staff during assigned shifts, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
• Lead by example, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive work environment
• Coordinate with management to ensure efficient operation of all restaurant areas, including the dining room, bar, and kitchen
• Assist in training and mentoring new and existing team members on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, inventory management, and cleanliness standards
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed guest expectations
• Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving service, increasing sales, and achieving financial targets
• Act as a point of contact for staff and management during shifts, addressing any issues or concerns that arise

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server in a leadership or supervisory role in the restaurant industry required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and coach team members
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, POS systems, and health and safety regulations
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and situations
