Lead Shop Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Shop Mechanic to oversee daily operations in our service shop. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality work, efficient workflow, and mentoring others.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise shop technicians and apprentices
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of equipment/vehicles
• Schedule and prioritize daily workloads
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and shop organization
• Assist with training and development of team members
• Communicate with management regarding workflow, parts, and timeline

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of mechanical experience (automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or similar)
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, if applicable)
• Own tools
