Lead Signaling Commissioning Engineer @Siemens Mobility Egypt

In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is implementing the European safety standards “European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 1”. Spanning 950 km, this project is part of the broader Egypt National Railways Projects and aims to enhance the safety standards, increase the number of passenger trains, and boost freight capacity.

Today, we are recruiting for a Lead Signaling Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

• Perform commissioning of components, systems, and solutions on site
• Plan and coordinate commissioning activities and required tasks
• Prepare reports and document results of testing and commissioning
• Analyze system behavior and interaction between components
• Lead and supervise commissioning staff on site
• Execute system handover and provide training to customer personnel
• Identify issues on site and report them to management
• Ensure customer satisfaction before, during, and after activities
• Maintain health & safety standards for self and team
• Support testing processes (routine, type tests, and equipment selection)

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in testing or field engineering
• Strong interest in rail technology and sustainable mobility
• Ability to train and transfer knowledge to team members
• Willingness to learn Siemens-specific tools, software, and systems
• Comfortable using digital tools (laptops, tablets, apps)
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and reliability
• Fluent in English and Arabic
