About the role

As a Lead Engineer, you'll take full ownership of the design, architecture, and development of our application, driving technical execution and shaping the product to meet evolving needs. You’ll build, refine, and scale a high-performance, intuitive, and reliable application, ensuring seamless interactions between data, workflows, and users.

This is a Hybrid role based in New York, NY.

What You’ll Do

• Own the technical direction, making key decisions that impact the architecture, scalability, and maintainability of the product.

• Build, optimize, and refine the application, ensuring seamless user interactions, efficient data handling, and smooth system integrations.

• Navigate complex workflows, including connectivity with communication platforms, purchase orders, and third-party integrations.

• Improve system performance and reliability, balancing speed with long-term scalability.

• Work across the entire codebase, adapting quickly to solve challenges wherever needed.

• Move fast and iterate, ensuring rapid development cycles without sacrificing quality.

You’ll Be Successful in This Role If You…

• Are an autonomous, resourceful engineer with 7+ years of experience building and scaling real-world applications.

• Have deep expertise in modern development frameworks, including React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python (Django) or Node.js.

• Can architect and optimize systems to handle growing data, integrations, and user interactions.

• Have a high bar for quality and craftsmanship, ensuring maintainability and performance.

• Are comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments, able to adapt and iterate quickly.

• Have strong communication skills, collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Can make informed trade-offs between speed and quality while delivering meaningful impact.

Bonus Points

• Startup experience—either as a founding engineer or an early team member at a high-growth company.

• Experience designing highly scalable and distributed systems.

• Prior work with AI workflows, automation, or intelligent data processing.

• Experience with B2B SaaS workflow tools and complex business processes.

Compensation Range: $160K - $220K
