Job Purpose:
Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, and Environment programs to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The role supports risk assessments, incident reporting, and compliance with regulatory and company HSE standards and requires hands-on field engagement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to support audits, assurance activities, and corrective action follow up.
Key Accountabilities:

Collaborate proactively with the Assurance & Compliance team to ensure full alignment with internal and external audit requirements, regulatory standards, and the EHSS Management System.

Implement, manage, and continuously improve Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs, including Industrial Hygiene, hazard identification, and risk control measures.

Ensure all activities comply with Maaden’s EHSS Management System and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Lead periodic reviews and updates of high level HSE policies, procedures, and standards to reflect regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Develop and maintain Safety, Health, and Environmental standards, programs, plans, and strategic frameworks.

Conduct and oversee comprehensive assessments of physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and environmental hazards.

Apply knowledge of NNRC (National Nuclear and Radiological Control) standards and nuclear radiation risk management as required.

Recommend and validate engineering, administrative, PPE, and environmental controls to effectively mitigate workplace risks.

Serve as a subject matter expert on complex HSE topics, including major accident hazards and environmental incidents.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or an equivalent discipline.
Certifications (advantageous):
Recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or other equivalent safety qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 7+ years of practical experience in HSE roles within heavy industry, mining, or industrial operations, with demonstrated understanding of risk assessment, compliance, and safety standards
