Lead Supply Chain (Planning)

Job Summary:

The Lead – Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) functions across all manufacturing setups within Gatronova . The role ensures accurate demand forecasting, efficient material procurement, balanced inventory levels, and alignment between production capacity and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand & Supply Planning

• Develop and implement effective demand and material planning strategies aligned with business goals.
• Oversee demand and supply forecasting by analyzing market trends, sales data, and production needs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production to integrate promotional activities and business plans into forecasts.

2. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

• Lead the monthly S&OP process to align forecasts with production capacity and supply chain capabilities.
• Identify potential demand-supply gaps and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
• Ensure synchronization between sales, production, and material planning functions.

3. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

• Manage the MRP process to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and components.
• Monitor material planning outputs, adjusting for changes in demand, lead times, or supply disruptions.
• Optimize inventory levels to minimize working capital without compromising production continuity.

4. Data & Performance Management

• Utilize SAP IBP and AI tools for advanced forecasting and planning automation.
• Track and improve KPIs such as forecast accuracy, material availability, and inventory turnover.
• Generate data-driven insights and management reports for decision-making.

5. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and mentor a team of planners and analysts, promoting collaboration and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
• Champion adoption of modern planning technologies and best practices.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering , or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Material Management, S&OP, or Supply Chain Planning , including at least 3 years in a leadership role .
• SAP experience is mandatory ; proficiency in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) preferred.
• Exposure to AI-based forecasting or analytics tools will be an added advantage.
