Job Title: Lead Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children.

This role involves planning and implementing curriculum, leading classroom management, supervising assistant teachers, and maintaining strong communication with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Observe and assess student development; maintain accurate records and portfolios
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families about student progress and classroom activities
• Provide leadership and mentorship to assistant teachers, aides, or floaters in the classroom
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrative staff to support school-wide initiatives
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization according to licensing and health guidelines

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
• Lead Teacher certification or state licensing credential
• Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and children
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.74 - $27.38 per hour

Work Location: In person
