Pay: $23.00 – $28.00/hour

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 year of experience

• Child Growth & Development
• Child, Family, and Community
• Infant/Toddler Development (Preferred)

We are currently seeking a qualified Infant Room Teacher who meets California infant/toddler ECE unit requirements and brings passion and professionalism to our Gold River team.

Key Responsibilities:

w Responsible for providing care and supervision of children

w Report any and all suspected, knowledge of, or observation of child abuse or neglect of a person under the age of 18 to Child Protective services or local law enforcement agency.

w Conduct daily inspection for illness with every child

w Ensure that all children are signed in and out, daily

w Responsible for leadership of assigned classroom & mentoring Associate Teachers and Teacher Assistants assigned to your classroom

w Create a positive learning environment in which to help children explore their educational/Social-Emotional needs.

w Create and post weekly lesson plans focusing on emergent curriculum, STEAM and educational needs

w Implement emergent curriculum based on interests of children and age-appropriate readiness goals

w Attend Professional Development

w Assess students on educational development, motor skills and social-emotional learning

w Hold Parent/Teacher conferences when needed

w Hold meetings with Assistant Teacher to discuss lesson planning, classroom management/ challenging behaviors and solutions

w Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment

w Manage the overall supervision and day‐to‐day care and development of an assigned group of children

w Establish a trusting relationship with each child, create a nurturing social and learning environment, and be attentive to the needs of each child

w Exhibit positive behavior to children, parents, and all other team members at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 12 ECE units required, including 3 units in:
• Child Growth & Development
• Child, Family, and Community
• Program/curriculum
• CPR and First Aid Certification (EMSA-approved, current)
• Completion of Health & Safety Training including lead prevention
• Mandated Reporter (AB 1207) training completion
• Must pass criminal background clearance (DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index)

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Teacher Permit or working toward it (strongly preferred)
• Experience in Reggio Emilia, STEAM, or nature-based programs
• Familiarity with multi-language or bilingual environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and move easily between floor and seated positions

· Experience and/or education in Outdoor Classroom environments, Nature‐Based programs, Emergent Curriculum and STEAM
