Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to support our educational team in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be committed to fostering the development of young learners. This role is crucial in assisting teachers with instructional activities and ensuring the well-being of students.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Lead classroom operations and supervise assistant teachers
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain compliance with Article 47 health, safety, and staffing standards
- Communicate effectively with families and staff
- Supervise and engage with students during lessons, ensuring they understand the material.
- Provide support for children with special needs or behavioral challenges through effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all students, including those in preschool and daycare settings.
- Help with daily routines such as snack time, playtime, and transitions between activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs.
- Support the implementation of first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Child Development, Elementary Education, Psychology, Sociology, with relevant early childhood coursework
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children ages 2–5 in a licensed early childhood setting
- Experience working with students or children in an educational or caregiving setting is preferred.
- Background in babysitting or infant care is a plus.
- Knowledge of preschool education practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- First aid certification is beneficial but not mandatory; training may be provided.

- Required Trainings: Mandated Reporter, Shaken baby, etc.
Note: Degrees outside of these areas that do not meet Article 47 standards will not be considered.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
