Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori or preschool methodologies.
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, communication skills, behavioral health, and social-emotional development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, IEP (Individualized Education Program) reviews, and informal observations to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavioral health professionals to support children with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Mentor and supervise assistant teachers or teaching assistants to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and classroom management.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student development, IEP goals, lesson plans, and progress reports while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings, including preschool or private school environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental delays is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices, behavioral therapy strategies, and behavioral management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons in literacy education, math, library services or tutoring sessions tailored to diverse learners.
- Certification or training in speech therapy, early intervention programs or related fields is a plus; relevant certifications in special education are preferred.
