Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your expertise will help create engaging lesson plans, implement individualized education programs (IEPs), and support children with diverse learning needs. Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills.
  • Implement evidence-based strategies for working with children with disabilities, including autism and developmental delays.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavioral management techniques and behavioral therapy methods.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, and specialists to create specialized learning strategies as needed for students.
  • Provide mentorship and support to assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure high-quality instruction and care.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using standardized testing tools and observational data to inform instruction.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages communication skills development, early intervention strategies, and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and literacy education.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, disabilities, or developmental delays; familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
  • Certification or licensure in early childhood education or special education preferred; relevant training in behavioral health or behavioral management is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in lesson planning, tutoring, mentoring, and library services related to early childhood learning. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
