Lead Teacher and Teacher Assistant

Job Summary
Join our dynamic early childhood education team as a Lead Teacher and Teacher Assistant, where you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. As a Lead Teacher, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, manage classroom activities, and support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth. The Teacher Assistant will collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher to support daily classroom operations, assist with lesson delivery, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s early development while working in a vibrant, supportive setting dedicated to excellence in early childhood education.

Duties

  • Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies
  • Support children’s social-emotional development through nurturing interactions and child welfare practices
  • Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials for activities and maintaining a clean learning environment
  • Engage children in activities that promote childhood development milestones such as language skills, motor skills, and early intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress using standardized testing methods and provide tailored tutoring or intervention as needed
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress and developmental needs

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education settings
  • Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
  • Familiarity with special education principles and early intervention techniques
  • Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities
  • Excellent classroom management skills to foster an inclusive and disciplined learning environment
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively and compassionately
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and engaging families
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods and daycare best practices is a plus
  • Experience in private school or daycare settings preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated understanding of childhood development stages and child welfare standards
